Terms used across this documentation.

Term	Meaning
Payment	Collecting funds from a customer's wallet into yours
Payout	Sending funds from your wallet to a customer's wallet
Minor units	The smallest unit of a currency, sent as a string of digits
Idempotency key	A UUID you generate per transaction that makes retries safe
Final status	`success`, `failed` or `expired`. Never changes again
Method code	The identifier for a payment method, from `/payment-methods`
Wallet	Your balance in a single currency held with Maly
Available balance	The part of a wallet you can pay out or withdraw
Ledger entry	A single row in `/transactions` recording money in or out
Signing secret	The secret used to verify webhook signatures, separate from your API key
